INTRO NOT OUTRO!

Hello and welcome,

This will be the shortest long introduction you have ever read or heard that others read. Welcome to my new series of blog posts, this is as close to getting real up and close with me as you can and no, I am not a Kardashian. I am just a law student with lots of time on her hand because internship is not like it is in the movies or in John Grisham's books. What I mean is, 4 months later, I have not carried a sleeping bag and toothbrush to work, I have not been chased by politicians because I wrote a provocative legal article, I certainly have not kissed my boss (yet), the president has not asked me to be a side chick yet (because a Monica Lewinsky drama is the only drama worth the trouble) and I certainly have not bought a tank of coffee and what are energy drinks by the way?

However, quite contrary to expectations, I have made friends (I am really not sure about this but good people say it), I have asked quite difficult questions to difficult people, have helped a few who needed it. I have typed a report overnight, read more books than I was supposed to, seen more damaged chairs and ceilings than I have seen in the past two decades and absolutely had more fast food than I have had in two decades too.

Here are little snippets of what it is like to be clueless, to question your choices, to want to turn back time, to try and time travel into the future, to being shocked almost everyday. Snippets of what it is like to interact with society daily, to see society through other people's eyes, to be in a position to help. This is peek-a-boo into the justice system, its strength, its flaws and its beauty and ugly (Priddy Ugly is a thing right).

Some of the stuff in here is as true as steel and some of it, well you know, sometimes the truth is found in little lies. Any resemblance to any one is purely coincidental  (do not come after me). While this blog is written with the intention to preserve my memories of internship, it also seeks to bring to light societal issues that the author could not help but notice. This is me acting out for society and for me. I hope you find it in yourselves to fight for society in your own little ways too. We all should be  social justice activists.

Read, enjoy and share.

Here is to staying positive and testing negative!
